PLABI, an amusement arcade operator under “PLABI” brand, joins GENDA Group!Collaborating with ‘GiGO’ to create even more attractive amusement arcades.

GENDA Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Chairman of the Board: Nao Kataoka; Representative Director and President: Mai Shin; hereinafter “GENDA”) has resolved at a meeting of its Board of Directors held today that GENDA GiGO Entertainment (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhiro Ninomiya; hereinafter “GENDA GiGO Entertainment”), a group company of GENDA Inc., will acquire 82.45% of the outstanding shares of PLABI CORPORATION (Headquarters: Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Nobuaki Kaji; hereinafter “PLABI”), which is engaged in the amusement arcade business and other businesses.

Upon its first amusement arcade opening in Ibaraki prefecture in 1967, PLABI has successively expanded its shop network under brands such as “AMUSEMENT PLABI”, ” cocoro’co” and “MINAMI ASOBI ISLANDS”, to have 45 amusement arcade shops and food supermarkets across the country and 363 mini-locations within clothing chains as of December 2023. In addition, as amusement arcades where parents and children can easily enjoy themselves, the Group has developed the “AMUSEMENT CAFE plabi”, which combines athletic and large playground equipment with a café space, and “☆twinkle☆”, which combines an indoor playground with a crane game corner. These facilities are enjoyed by people of all ages, from small children to adults. The participation of PLABI in the Group will enable the sharing of human resources and knowledge in the DX field between the amusement arcade operated by PLABI and the shops operated by GENDA GiGO Entertainment, and will make it possible for both to improve the efficiency of their shop operations.
In the future, the Group expects an increase in profits from both companies due to the introduction of limited edition prizes under the GiGO PRIZE brand developed by Entertainment and an increase in purchasing power for amusement machines and prizes due to the increase in the number of stores. The Group will continue to aim to create attractive facilities for the enjoyment of all customers who visit amusement arcades operated by PLABI.
