GENDA Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Chairman of the Board: Nao Kataoka; Representative Director and President: Mai Shin; hereinafter “GENDA”) has resolved at a meeting of its Board of Directors held today to acquire all shares issued by Fukuya Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo;President: Keiichiro Tanaka; hereinafter “Fukuya HD”)a holding company that owns four group companies in Japan and overseas and is engaged in the business of planning and selling prizes in prize games (arcade games in which the object is to win prizes) to amusement arcades.

Fukuya Co., Ltd. and GENDA have been strengthening their alliance for some time through capital participation in the Company’s group  Five Colors Inc.

which was established in China and is involved in the operation of amusement arcades and equipment rental business, and the joint establishment of the character-related business Tokyo Character Makers Co.,Ltd. with the Company. The Fukuya HD Group has also been strengthening its alliance with the Company. In addition, the Fukuya HD Group has particular strengths in the prize business, particularly in planning original prizes and licensed character prizes, and has developed “Oshi-Katsu” goods under the “fanfancy+” brand, which have gained popularity. The  “fanfancy+ with GiGO” shops specialising in Oshi-Katsu, which have been developed in collaboration with GENDA GiGO Entertainment Inc. are very popular due to the development of products that meet the “Oshi-Katsu” needs of customers in Japan and abroad in line with the recent revitalisation of the animation and idol market. The product development has been very well received by customers in Japan and abroad in response to the needs of the anime and idol market in recent years.

We believe that after Fukuya HD becomes a group member, the combined knowledge of the two companies will accelerate the creation of shops that will please fans even more by jointly planning attractive products.
