GENDA SEGA Entertainment (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Representative Director and President: Satoshi Ueno, hereinafter “GENDA SEGA Entertainment”) announced today that it will repurchase 14.9% of its own shares and change its corporate name to GENDA GiGO Entertainment Inc.
Background of the change of corporate name
Following the acquisition of 14.9% of our own shares from SEGA Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President and COO: Yukio Sugino), GENDA Inc. now holds 100% ownership of our company. In addition, GENDA SEGA Entertainment has made its decision to change the brand name of its amusement arcades operated domestically under the brand name “SEGA” to “GiGO”, and therefore to change its corporate name to GENDA GiGO Entertainment Inc.
