On 19 September 2023, GENDA Inc.  (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and Chairman of the Board: Nao Kataoka, Representative Director and President: Mai Shin; hereinafter “GENDA”) resolved at a meeting of its Board of Directors held today to acquire 66.0% of the shares issued by LEMONADE by Lemonica Co. (Headquarters: Kanazawa, Ishikawa,  Representative Director and President: Seiji Kawamura; hereinafter ‘LEMONADE by Lemonica’) at a board meeting held today. With the participation of LEMONADE by Lemonica, the company aims to further enhance the food and beverage domain. 

The Company, through its group company GENDA GiGO Entertainment (hereinafter “GENDA GiGO Entertainment”), has long collaborated with popular anime and games in the form of the “GiGO COLLABO CAFE”, “GiGO COLLABO CAFE STAND” and The company has also opened café-style shops in various regions, such as ‘fanfancy+ with GiGO’, a shop and café specialising in supporting the activities of the characters. In addition, ‘GiGO Taiyaki’, which offers character and other taiyaki, has been opened in major cities such as Ikebukuro, Akihabara, Shibuya and Hakata, and has been well received by customers. 

The Company believes that the collaboration between LEMONADE by Lemonica and GENDA GiGO Entertainment, which operates amusement arcades such as GiGO, and focuses on expanding the shop network, will contribute to the growth of the Group as a whole. The GENDA Group sees the Food & Beverage Business  as an important theme for its Entertainment Business and will continue to strengthen it.
